Status Changes

Status Change Due Back Assistance Status Change from Windows System Tray

User status changes are designed to be minimally invasive and maximally productive - quick status changes can be executed quickly (with just a couple mouse clicks) or users can provide more information such as expected return date/time and status comments (facilitated by our exclusive return time assist and status comment library features).

OfficeStatus Windows Client goes even further, providing deep integration with the user's operating system. OfficeStatus Windows Client uses this integration to automatically detect important environmental changes such as user idle state, workstation lock or unlock, screen saver engagement, startup and shutdown, and more. Windows Client can then react to these events with automatic status changes - all designed to be unobtrusive and completely configurable.

A user's ability to change the status of other users is controlled by their role membership. Users can always change their own status, while Receptionist role members can change the status of any user. Department Manager role members can change the status of any user within the same department.
